 Subject: 00 Dr door window regulator

My 2000 Dakota Clubcab drivers door has an electric window regulator. I pulled the door panel and its the scissor type (not the cable driven one).
When I look around the internet for a replacement one, I see both the scissor type and cable driven as replacements but when I called my stealership parts dept, he said all he had in stock is the scissor type at $200+ and did not know if the cable driven one would work.
Anyone here know? The cable one is half as much.
