Message: Chevy bolt pattern won't fit. Why do you want to buy that size tire ? Do you know what width rim you have ? A common choice for an '00 with 7" wide rims is 235 75 R15; a common choice for the '00 8" wide rims is 31x10.5x15.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Message: Shari, my '00 Dak cam with 215/75/15 tires. I have replaced those with 235/75/15 tires with no problems. At 60mph my speedometer reads 58 so it's no off enough to bother with. If you have the base 5 spoke aluminum rims or steel rims, go with the 235/75/15's.
