I'm looking a at a'96 Dakota that is being sold one a business parking lot. It's got 114,000 miles on the odometer and also a 4x4 SLT just like my '94.

Just what are the difference between the '94&'95? Besides the decals?

Did he not say '96 Super Sqawk?

There both Sh!te!! Stay away from the very unreliable Gen 2 trucks. The 44RE is crap just like the more HD 518!! The Gen3's were some better but still not as good as the IV's.

So my recommendation would be to trade your clunker in for a 2006 model. You'll get a 4500 gov't rebate and plus something that won't take the usual trips to the shop.

And who knows, they might throw in some free beer in the back! All paid for by @ssholes like all of you!

No they did not a$$hole!! The A500 was never found in the Gen4's!!! Its the 45RFE!!! Also there's no 518 either! The 545 REF replaced that old out of date transmission years ago. So take your head out of your todds arse and get some fresh air!!

Wrong. Gen 3 has 45RFE as well as 545RFE. The 545RFE is just a 45RFE with slightly different electronic programing to get an extra gear from this planetary gear style transmission. Gen 4 continued with the 545RFE.

That's your lesson for today, your mind is now free to return to the gutter where you probably live.

You said Transmissions Arse Gutter!! The only carry over transmission is the 545 RFE. Yes it's basically the same with hardly any difference but with a programmed 2nd O/D the rest of the gearing stayed the same.

So you to can got back to you basement and stare at pictures you recently printed out of Mily Cyrus!

Yeah think about putting all the mods you ever wanted on that truck and not even worry about paying monthly notes. Of course if the transmission is good along with the motor (balljoints included) then you might have seen a bargin go right by your door.

but better luck next time STS.
