Message: Very nice truck!! Where did you get your custom made door panels done or who made them? Also, how much did they cost? I have been wanting to do something like that for a long time!!! If you can please let me know I would be much appreciated.

Message: Actually I did it. It's a bit of a pain but I love it. Here's how I did it:
Started by getting an extra sheet of the wet okole seat cover material. Their WINE color is a shade lighter than Garnet Red, but it's a pretty good match. Then cut blanks a little bit oversize. Sent them off to an embroidery shop where the DAKOTA was stitched on in gray matching the seat covers.
Take the door off the truck. The trim panel is held on by 8 plastic rivits. Started by grinding off the rivits with a dremel. Then pull off the fabric, it's on there pretty good. Drill out and countersink the center of all the rivits. Epoxy No. 8 x 1" machine bolts into each of the rivit holes so that they fit flush with the top surface. Sand the surface after to make sure there are no bumps. Apply trim adhesive to the back of the blank. Line up the DAKOTA where you want it and stretch it over the trim piece. Tuck around the corners and fasten on the back side. Bolt the trim piece using an oversixed washer and nylon locking nuts. Put the door panel back on. Voila! custom door panels.
