Subject: no spark IP: Logged
Message: 1995 dodge dakota sport will not start. checked for spark at the coil....no spark. checked for power before the coil....no power. I do have power to the ignition fuse. recently replaced coil, stater/pickup coil, cap, rotor, plugs, wires. i am starting to think it is the SMEC but i would really love the hear other opions im just a back yard mechanic. Is there a crankshaft sensor or any other sensors related to spark that i'm missing

Message: Have you inspected the splice about 6" below the distribution box in the wiring harness? I think they are red or pink wires. A big problem with our Daks.

Message: Hunting has a good suggestion. First, always check for stored codes.
Yes, there is a Crank Position sensor and a Cam Position sensor would either could be causing your problem.
