 Subject: 88 dakota wiring diagram a/c

i am swapping in a a/c from a 90 dak to a 88 dak. the 88 never had a/c. i got everything in and it worked before i had a chance to charge it last fall. anyway now the panel button doesn't work and the a/c button won't turn on the compressor. i have checked the fuses they are good. i have manual bypassed the wiring and the compressor will work . there is something making the controls not work in the cab. it very well could be the controls . but i am unsure. i would like to see a wiring diagram of the wires that go to that control. which wires should run hot to the compressor? and which ones or what make the panel buttons work. it is stuck on floor only but will give a slight bit of defrost when that button is puched in. other than that nothing work for the a/c. except the heater fan on the inside unit.
