Subject: brake problem IP: Logged
Message: i have a 98 dakota and i'm having trouble with my brakes. i put fluid in and bled them but the pedal still goes down to the floor and my ABS light and brake light are light on my dash. is this a fuse problem, relay problem, master cylinder bad or what? anyone with info would be a great help

Message: I agree with Bucket. Sounds like the Master Cylinder. I don't think you could have properly bled them with a bad m/c. Did you look over the system to check for leaks? And if you had to add fluid, you more than likely have a leak somewhere.

Message: well i did have a leak so i repaired it with a new hardline. i figured that was the problem. but after i fixed it i still have the same problem
