I know this is a dakota forum, but my dads having problems with a 95 ford f-150 V-6 automatic. It has almost 300xxx miles on it and it runs smooth except on the highway between 55-65 mph it starts bucking once over 65 it runs smooth again. I looked all over the f-150 forum and couldnt find anything. I have a dakota and you guys have always helped me out. If anyone has any ideas the help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well, first things first. When was the last time it had a complete tuneup?

Have you tried running some Seafoam in the fuel system?

If you could, the best thing would be to check for any trouble codes. I am not sure if the parts houses can scan an OBDI vehicle.

He said it had a tune-up about 15xxx miles ago, but the previous owner did it so who knows. What does seafoam do? The engine light comes on but doesnt stay on. I will tell him to have it scanned if they can. We put a new fuel filter on the other day. I quess we will try new coil, dist. cap, rotor, plugs, and wires and then go from there. Its got alot of miles on it and didnt want to spend to much money.
