Message: Well. If your "controll arm bushings r shot", the best thing you can do for your safety, and the safety of other drivers on the same road as you, is to replace them.
However,
If you have a 4x4, unbolt the sway bar at both control arms, and thoroughly clean and lube the bushings and the part of the sway bar that goes inside the bushings. Put it all back together and see if that kills the squeaking.
Never use petrolem based lubes on rubber or poly bushings (WD-40 is petroleum based). Use Silicone lube. NAPA sells it as SIL-GLYDE. That stuff won't rot and soften rubber over time like petroleum based oils and greases do.

I've been telling people that for years
We have several guys on here that Recommend
to "Spray" WD-40 on the vac lines to check for leaks
It is a real bad idea!!!

Message: So many people don't know. Or don't care, thinking that by the time all that oil that got spilled during all those sloppy oil changes rots the hoses, mounting bushings/motor mounts/wire insulation, etc., they will have sold it to someone else.
