Ashlyn, dont try to tell us that you never speed. Its a natural thing,, my shrink impersonation,,. You gotta admit, when your flyen down the road at 85-90-100mph, you get a feeling of freedom. With your windows down, the radio blasting. You cant beat it. Just make sure there are no cops around, they dont think highly of it.
But speed is like adrinaline. ooh yeah, also a drug, but it makes your heart race, like you motor. I am go;en driving right now, Bye....

well...i did it ...i brought it to 94 today on I-10 and let me tell you that my little v8 almost overheated...temp hit 205F!!

I installed my quickD intake on Friday, went for drive today and on a deserted stretch of highway... I just couldn't help myself - I got my dak up to 155 kms/hr. Don't know if IT could go any faster - I know I couldn't !

im a happily married and 24 thank you...
Ashlyn, I dont live for speed either... But i have sped. i speed every day. Today, on the way to work i was going 85mph (with the traffic!). You dont do it, you become the problem...
It just seems odd you havent sped... Did you just get your license or something odd like that?

I speed all the time. And I like to get up to that speed quickly as well. It's hard on the truck, so most of the time (when no one's looking), I drive with two hands and all that good stuff.

Hey Ashlyn - I'm going to State Capitol Dragway Friday evening. If you are from B.R. you should know where that is. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. Come on out and check out some legal speeding. Look for a white over silver club cab Dakota (me) or a silver Ford Lightening (my son, Michael). Me and Dakota Chick live near Gonzales. We can introduce you to a lot of speeders AND none speeders.

Yep, thats how i do it too... I like how bernd said it best... I dont have a gas pedal, i have an ON/OFF switch.

i lay in on it hard, and keep it there as i merge in traffic...
i go from being in bumper to bumper traffic (5-10mph) to wicked heavy traffic that goes 70-85mph. you gotta merge fast, and get going. they also give you about 100 feet to merge, so you have oncoming, people driving in the far lane, and ppl trying to get off as welll

Ashlyn, so your 28 (or so) and never sped. I dont suppose you have ever done it in the back of a car either. lol. 2 things you need to put on your list of "To-Try Things". unless your a nun.
As a rule of thumb, you can go 5mph over the limit easily on the highway... without getting stopped...
Ive never been stopped for going the same speed as the rest of traffic either... Unless you have a "Stand out" car. something that will grab the cops attention... you can probably go right along with them.
So how did it feel when you sped? when you brought it up to 94mph?

dave_k-id rather do it in my queen size bed. i find the back seat of a car too small-not enough space to move around. it was good experience at 94 except my engine overheated!! had to pull off the interstate and let it cool down

Ashlyn - Did you really blow a radiator hose? 205 isn't that hot. Normal is 195 and it is going to go higher under a load.
Why are you interested in others speeding? There is more than one kind of speeding in my mind. One is breaking the speed limit on purpose like I did when I bought my Trans Am. I took it up to 130 just to check it out. It had 10 miles on the speedometer. A second one is when I was on an outer loop in a northern city. I had to do 80 in a 60 just to avoid being a nuisance on the road. The third is on a closed race course like the drag strip. I went over 90 with my Dakota last Friday night which is speeding to some but I broke no laws. I was wondering what your interest was. You against it or just curious?
