Was wondering if anyone knew of a good source for used motors.... "CHEAP!" I need to replace my 3.9L v6 in my 99 Dakota. I have been looking all over for the past two days and am shocked at the prices. Even a used motor pulled from a wreck at a dismantlers yard, is goin for $800. I couldn't even locate anyone that could or would sell just the short block. I live in San Jose, Ca, and would appreciate any inside info anyone has. Thanks

Try the search at above - you may have to go a ways , but there are some about $ 400.00
or , try for the block only ..

Ill be taking out my 3.9 here in a couple weeks and can sell it to you if you still need one. It has 66k on it, Im putting in a 4.7 so I wont need it and I would like to use the money to buy some tires. Email me at justin@baxter-rutherford.com if you are interested.

cosineau auto out of wisconsin. they were going to sell me a 5.9 with 120,000 for 400 bucks. they are out of wisconsin.
