Anyone try a set of Pulstar spark plugs in
your 4.7 or 3.7 engines?

If so, did they do any good as far as mileage
goes?

I see they are VERY VERY pricey to say the least.

Cost at Amazon.com for the BE1 plug was 70 bux
for two, I *think*. I think there was two plugs
per package.

I just got this bit of info about the Pulstar
spark plug from the Jeep Forum site.. I asked
the same question there also..
**************
I have looked into this and talked with 5
employees who ran most of the test.

75% of the time the plugs break during install.
The 25% that make it in right fail 80% of
the time due to heat.

The ones that do make it work ok do not last
long at all. They all break way to soon, less
than 30K.

Your best bet is to stick with Stock plugs for
now, replace as needed.

****************
So, end of story for me about those plugs.

I have been using Halo's for over a year, almost 2 and I have been getting better fuel mileage compared to Autolites, as well as faster startes, smoother running. They are a little pricey, I paid about $10 a piece personally, I think they are worth it. I think Larry (J&J) recommends E-3 as well, about $3 a piece.

if they expect someone to pay 70 bucks for 2 plugs they better make your truck run on water instead of gas. but as they say, "there is a sucker born every minute."

Amen, daddio. That might be the biggest rip-off since the throttlebody spacer.my guess would be inside of two years the plug will be redesigned working right and cost about ten bucks each....if not pulstar will be the way of the dinosaur.
