I have been trying to get a new CC and the people at Archer Dodge here in Houston are not being very helpful. When I go in its fine and dandy, everyone is nice and helpful. But I can't go in everday! I have been trying to here back from them for financing rates and a quote on a special order. If I have to be the one calling all the time do you guys think this dealer is worth my time? There are others in town, but this is the closest. I am getting pretty frustrated with them. I was trying to order the truck before sunday so I can get it asap. Have to wait 6 weeks, so I need to put in the order right away. Jeez, I thought they would be bugging me night and day! Thanks, Grady

Call other dealerships (MANY more), get quotes via the internet. They'll call. They want to get the G.I.Joe with the Kung Fu Grip! If not scew'em theyre just sales men-sure they're your buddy and all, but they are out to get as much money as possible out of you!

Take Dr. Q's advice and get quotes from many dealerships and play them off one another. Especially if you're trying to special order. ANY dealer can order and you should NEVER tolerate them giving you the run around. They are supposed to be trying to earn YOUR business, not you trying to beg them to sell you a truck.

Yeah, I'd say Goodson can kiss my ass. Manager thereis a real dork. I got a quote for 22,010 from Archer and I am gonna go with that, but still working out options...

I'm in sales at a Dodge-Chrysler dealership, I agree with graphiteRT. If you were to come in to order a truck It would be very easy, BUT!!! it is impossible to give an exact price because of so many varibles (time of manufacture, options etc.)
Just agree to pay a % over invoice or $500 over.
Also, Fleet sales won't help only if it's a company car.

I agree with HOSED!! The dealership on Katy is the epitome of why car salesmen get such a piss poor reputation. If you are looking for a good game of ambiguity talk and no substance, that's your place. Go in on a Monday, write down the names of five salesmen, and go back the next Monday and 1) see if they are still there or even 2)if anyone "remembers" them

Sounds like they dont want to do business with you. But you did come to the right place for advice. This site is very helpful. I would do just what everyone else is saying. Get quotes, take your time and make sure your getting the best deal. Then after I got my truck I would show the dealer that they missed out on a sale because of their actions. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

sounds like they want to sell you a truck that's
already on the lot. you know they pay to have
those vehicles sitting there, that might be a
reason why they have no interest in helping
you special order one. I wish I would have
special ordered mine...would have saved me
a few hundred in the long run.

Whatever that quote's for, I hope it's not a dime over the factory invoice price.
I went out to hempstead, got all the options I wanted, at invoice. 4 weeks.
