97 Dakota, V6, stick, I want to replace my exhaust this spring, as mine's getting soft. What, other than a stock replacement, would be a good aftermarket dual setup? I don't want loud and cackly, just a nice "note" to it.

What you might want to check out is a Magnaflow performance exhaust. A dual sports side might be just for you.
