Just a thought, wouldn't taking the rubber flap off all together get more air to your intake. If your concerned agout the a/c lines, some insulating tape should provide some protection.

BTW: Love the two tone thing. I think I'm going there for my next dak!

Q, I didn't want to remove the flap due to rain
and dirt. I am trying to find another way to route
another hose for air.
Blue, well when I'm driving I can't see it.

How much does creating a heat shield help with performance? I see a lot of people creating different things for a heat shield, but I never really hear anything about how much it actually helps. I know that the colder the air the better, but is it a noticeable difference with or without the shield?
