Message: This morning, I let my 99 Dakota 4x4 5.2L V8 warm up about 10 minutes with the defroster on low but highest heat. It started pissing antifreeze on the street. Best I can trace the leak, it comes from somewhere about midway up, maybe a little higher, on the passenger side.
It seems I have to pull it out to figure out where the leak comes from. Assuming I can find it, I'll try patching it with epoxy. But going to that much trouble, I may buy a new radiator. The truck was in an accident three years ago, and you can never trust insurance companies to put in quality parts.
So! Got any recommendations for radiators? Or any how-to tips for a shadetree mechanic?

Message: its really not that hard, drain the radiator with the stopcock on one side, unbolt everything and replace
if the tranny cooler runs through it i think the newer ones had a special connection on them, almsot like the new fuel lines

Message: I pulled out the old one. New one won't be at the auto parts store until tomorrow. OK to let the lines sit overnight in freezing temps? I plugged them with rags.
