ok, i got the two underdrive pulleys from ASP.....the alt. and the crank set

what's the deal with the alt. one, should i use it or will it make my charge go down when sitting in traffic? if i use the new alt. pulley, will it decrease my charge?

also: anyone know the new belt length i should get?
thanks

I've never put one on before but unless you have an over-done stereo you'll be alright, they wouldn't make them if they weren't usable. as far as the belt; I'm thinking that you might use the same belt, Isn't the crank bigger to make up for the other pulleys being smaller aside to slowing the accessories? but like I said I never put one on before. I would think if you bought a good pulley set that needed a different belt they should have gave you one.

why would they sell the alt. one if it's gonna kill your battery?
it don't make sense.
the alt. pulley is bigger so it looks like it would offset the crank being smaller.

Unless the new dimensions are in the range of the tensioner for adjustment, leaving the alternator pulley out would be a bad idea. It would be best to go with the full pulley kit and get the belt that ASP recommends. Don't they sell most of their kits, belt included? Does anyone know if they make a underdrive kit for the 4.7? Later
