Sure, they might have gotten their ideas from other sources but why is that a bad thing? Originating ideas is very expensive and this is not the time to be spending money project like this. Don't forget, a lot of chassis and suspension designs were developed on places like the race track and car manufactures have been smart enough to use it.

GM is in debt up to eyeballs. We have to bail them out so that they can keep up the good work. Most likely we will be bailing out all the American auto manufactures.
It might be good business to take the best ideas and build the best cars and trucks. I don't really care who came up with the orginal ideas.

But anyway, I remember seeing a program on CNBC (Can GM be saved?)and it showed old man Bob Lutzs driving around in a Chevy Volt. From the expression on his face he loved it, but was he serious are not?
The trouble with electric cars on the road is, since people don't pay attention to there gauges any more, what's going to happen when you run out of juice when your driving down the interstate such as I40?
God help those people if it's ever around the Memphis area!
