Message: I think you are missing a switch or something. Should work on the pass door as well

Message: I have Club Cabs but when I looked at Regular cabs the passenger door operated the lights and so on just like any Club Cab or Quad Cab.
Sounds like something is amiss on yours. (not unusually considering how sloppy manufacturing has been since Mercedes took over).

Message: Sometimes the pin switch which trips both of those circuts can get stuck. This usually only occurs on a real old vehicle with lots of dirt and crud in the switch. Just look at the pin switch and see if you can move it with your finger. It should go in with a medium effort and pop back out by itself. If nothing happens, ie lights don't alter, the wiring is probably messed up, and would kill the point of an alarm. You could always put a sticker on the driver's side, that said, "try me first".
