Message: Sorry for the dumb question, I'm not having much luck with the search and my google hunting hasn't been very successful.
I just picked up a cheap 04 dak and want to see about swapping the cd/tape radio from an 02 jeep that I took out and set aside years ago.. I had a 99 and an 00 dak and it looks like the interior changed a little on me.
How much of the dash has to pop off to get at the radio? Is it just the piece immediately around the radio that I should fight, or should I be looking at taking the larger piece from around the steering wheel as well?
This might date me, but is Quick-D still around for ported throttle bodies, and are there worthwhile gains on the baby 3.7?

Message: The dash is all one piece. Remove the 2 screws from inside the top edge of the instrument cluster. It helped me to remove the lower knee bolster panel and the 2 plastic covers off of the steering column too. Start from the lower right side of the dash by the AC heater control panel and unsnap the dash panel from the sub-dash, then work it out from in front of the cluster, unplug the electircal connectors from the headlight switch and the heater/ac and airbag on/off switches. Work the dash panel up over the steering column. It's a tight fit but it will come out that way.
I have no idea about Quick D. Someone else here might though.

Message: I got a 01 3.9L V6 and it not really worth time trying to boost the power. But I did install a Magnaflow Performance exhaust. But still, with only minimal gains. So as for you question about the newer OHC 3.7L, you might want to look into buying a performance chip.
Jet perfomance is pretty cool, check this out
