 Subject: pulley bolt

my 99 3.9 v6 is squelling again. I replaced the idler/tensioner pulley about 40k miles ago and the question is,
Is the bolt a regular left hand or is it a right hand thread.
Do I turn to the right or left to loosen.

i replaced the pulley on my tensioner a few months ago and i think it was right hand thread. but damned if i can be 100% about it.

I did mine a while back and I'm pretty sure it was regular right hand thread. But it's left hand thread that is unusual, not right. Better to think of it as turning counterclockwise - right or left will vary depending on the orientation of the wrench !

did it also did tensioner assy as it was froze up - regular bolt --- lefty loosey
