over 148,000miles
on ALL original brakes- I did bleed and run new fluid thru each wheel about 20K ago.
ORIGINAL rotors- never turned on lathe
original pads, rear brakes, etc.
AND yes, I bought my truck new, ordered it, etc.
I hope you've seen the post/website about the 'myth' of warped rotors.
And don't tell me you had warped rotors- cause you didn't. Yes, turning will on a lathe will quickly remove the build up that you thought was a warped rotor.

Nope, that was not a BS post.
It's me again, TexasTodd
I agree it is not normal, thats whay I mentioned it.
I attribute it to NOT waiting till the last second and 'jamming' on my brakes, mildly downshifting 9never goint to 2K on downshifts, and using my parking brake every time I park my Dak.
Parking brake you say?
It keeps the rear drums (mine are the 11 inch drums with the trailer tow pack) in constant adjustment. This takes alot of load of the front rotors.

Message: glad to see you back Texas Todd. i got about 80k from my stock pads but the rear drums are still good to go @ 95k. by the way, all QC daks got 11" drums, not just the trailer tow package. and yes, keeping them adjusted really helps out.

Message: I don't doubt your story but the rear drums are self adjusted by braking in reverse. Nothing to do with parking brake.

Message: gak,
I agree, but I'm pretty sure the owners manual on my 01 also states it does it too.
