Subject: Major Brake Problem
IP: Logged

Message:
I accidently put about 3 tablespoons of power steering fluid in my Brake master cylinder. I was told by aBuddy of mine that it was not an issue, this was 2 weeks ago. Apparently he was wrong, because my brakes go all the way to the floor now and i have to redo my whole system. I am replacing Master Cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, front calipers and flushing the system 3-4 times. what i need to know is do I also need to replace the Power Brake Booster? what about the Hydraulic Control Unit? I would appreciate any Help. My Wife has been laughing histarically for 2 days about this...

Should not have to replace the booster as there should not be any fluid to it assuming the brake master is not leaking. Not sure about the HCU.
