Subject: Major Brake Problem IP: Logged
Message: I accidently put about 3 tablespoons of power steering fluid in my Brake master cylinder. I was told by aBuddy of mine that it was not an issue, this was 2 weeks ago. Apparently he was wrong, because my brakes go all the way to the floor now and i have to redo my whole system. I am replacing Master Cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, front calipers and flushing the system 3-4 times. what i need to know is do I also need to replace the Power Brake Booster? what about the Hydraulic Control Unit? I would appreciate any Help. My Wife has been laughing histarically for 2 days about this...

Message: Should not have to replace the booster as there should not be any fluid to it assuming the brake master is not leaking. Not sure about the HCU.
