Hi, I know this is a dakota board, but we all love mopar trucks. I have this 2001 dodge ram 1500, with 360 and automatic trans. When the truck is cold and I start it let it warmup then go to backup the trans makes like a winding noise when I am backing up. It dont do it when I go forward, only when I back up. The winding noise is there and the trans is not slipping and is backing up fine. When the truck gets warmed up it dont do it anymore. The truck has 50,000 miles on it. Could a trans oil filter be dirty and making the trans wind in reverse when backing up when its cold? Is that possible just in reverse from the filter? All comments would be great. Thanks.
