Ok ya'll i'm looking for some help on doin a motor and trans swap. I've got a 97 dakota that was a 5 speed. I've already got all the things i need to make it an auto matic. My problem is that the motor and trans i got are out of a 94 Ram. It's a 3.9 v6, same as the dakota, But automatic. About 3 years older automatic. It still works, i've just run into a few problems.
on the 97 wiring there are 7 wires that go into a plug on the tranny that i think control the overdrive and a couple other things. would I be able to find a wiring diagram of this somewere labeling wat each wire controls?
on my 94 tranny and wiring there is only 3 wires, and a 3 prong plug, that go to this same spot. Wat i'm doing is putting my 94 set up in my 97 dakota. and am wondering if I could get wiring diagrams of both trannys pin-pointing wat each wire controls. If there are 3 wires on the 97 that control the same areas as the 94, i want to splice them into my 3 prong plug, plug it up and go.
would i be able to get both wiring diagrams of both trannys some place on here??? If some one could help I would greatly appreciate it.
