Subject: Tufoil - Snake oil ?? IP: Logged
Message: I get Hemmings Motor News and I've noticed a
product called; Tufoil - To get the full info on
the product go to page 27 of the October 2008
issue or check out; www.tufoil.com
My question is, has anyone tried this stuff? Does
it live up to its ad? Just snake oil?
Hay guys, I don't know about you but I've parked
my 02 Dakota Sport 4X4, 4.7 because of its poor
gas mileage. I didn't put 2000 miles on it this
year. I didn't even get a nibble trying to sell
it and offered very low trade in when trying to
buy a gas sipper. I even put it on E-Bay once.
So, I'd like to hear from anyone that has tried
this Tufoil product.
Thanks

Do yourself and your wallet a favor
Head to your local Walmart or Parts Store
and pick your self out an oil you like
So long as its API certified your going to be fine
I would recommend a good filter
Wix / NAPA Gold Series (same)
Purolator’s Pure ONE
Mobil 1

Message: Poor milage ? Is something wrong with your truck; or are you unrealisically expecting econobox milage from it ? I consider the 15 mpg I get from my truck to be pretty good for it's capabilities. People who don't really need trucks shouldn't buy them and then complain about milage.

Message: Kowalski, I agree with you 100%. I used my 02
mainly to pull my 26' travel trailer to Upper
Michigan from near Toledo.
Now that gas prices went through the roof making
vacation travel a thing of the past, thanks to
$od $am oil slugs, I sold the camper and now what
to either sell/trade-in the Dakota or *try* and
get better mileage out of it so I can make it my
daily driver during the winter months.
15 MPG *might* be my top mileage on a trip hauling
nothing but my fat $ss so for now it sets stored
and covered because I also have a 97 gas sipper
that gets 35 MPG.
I really don't need the Dakota any longer... From
now on IF I ever go back up to Upper Michigan I'll
use a gas sipper and rent a cabin...
Have a great day! -)
