This truck may or may not be for sale. I just finished the NV4500 and NP241 conversion and am having second thoughts about keeping the truck. I really need more of a road trip friendly vehicle that will hold more than three people comfortably. I'm just asking what people think they would offer me for my truck and if I got a good enough offer I would be willing to sell it. Even if you're not making an offer, be sure to tell me how much you think it is worth.

I'm the second owner. Its a white club cab with 130K miles. The 318 feels pretty good and gets about 15 MPG highway. It has a new starter and water pump. I swapped in the NV4500 and NP241 about 1500 miles ago and it runs great. I also had the flywheel resurfaced and threw in a new Centerforce II clutch. It has new driveshafts with new u-joints. It also has a Magnaflow 2.5 inch exhaust with a new Magnaflow cat. I installed a 3-inch body lift a year ago with a little torsion bar and it clears the 33 inch BFG All-Terrains with 80% tread left. It also has Pro Comp 1079 Pollished rims. I bought the truck with a snug top shell and brand new carpet kit, but have not used either of them.

I would really appreciate it if anyone would tell me what they think it's worth. I would be happy to supply pictures if anyone wants them. Thanks

I've been to KBB, but I was hoping with the 3/4 ton driveline and other mods some people might think it would be worth more.

From what I recall. The 318 only came with a HD NV-3500. But, if you spent the time in going to a HD 4500 series transmission, then you should have done a engine swap from a 318 to a 360 Magnum.

If you done that to a 01 Ram Off-Road, I would sure have been interested.

The 360 swap envolves too many electronic problems and fuel delivery issues in my opinion before its worth it. If I keep it I'm going to do a 4BT swap. 450ft lbs and 25 MPG.

You talking about the ISB 3.9L 4cly Cummins?

Why Dodge didn't include that as an engine option in the Ram is beyond me. I wonder what type of Toruqe you could sqeeze out at 250HP

Not even the ISB version. That has a computer and requires a wiring harness. The mechanical 4BT is what you are looking for. It fits in a Dakota with a lot of oil pan cutting and a custom mount to put attach the front diff to the engine block. As high as I've seen from a VE pumped 4bt is 217hp and 553ft lbs at the wheels. A P7100 pumped engine could go way beyond that. It just matters how much money you are willing to spend.

HMMMM, Seems like I was reading in "Diesal Power" magazine that some guy did a 4BT engine swap in his jeep. And pumped it up to around 240 HP and nearly 550 ftlbs.
