 Subject: 97 Dakota drivers power window

My driver's side power window will work fine once then the next time you use it it either quits part way down or up, you think that it won't go back up and then it will work fine again. Changed switch but still have same problem. What gives it's irritating as hell at a drive thu as it's a 50/50 whether it will work or not.

The regulator is probably bad. Next time it gets stuck, try smacking the door panel fairly hard with your hand, just above the map pocket area. If the window starts working again, you need a new regulator. It's a pretty common problem on Dodges, Jeeps and Chryslers.
