Well I didn't think I had a posi, but I was out offroading the other day and had my bro in-law stand outside the truck and look while I peeled out in the dirt. He looked from the drivers and passengers side and saw debris getting kicked out on both sides. This means I have a posi, right? I didn't believe him at first, but there were two marks in the dirt where both tires were at. I purchased my truck new and did not get this option, and I'm pretty sure its not on the sticker. (04 4x4 3.7 none of the fancy stuff)

Sometimes with the same lack of traction at both wheels they will both spin until one gets a better bite than the other one. When that happens power will once again be shunted to the wheel with the least traction.

To find out for sure do this: Raise both rear wheels off the ground. With it in neutral and no ebrake turn one wheel. If the other one spins the same direction you have LSD, if it spins the opposite direction you have an open diff. It's really pretty simple and takes all the guessing out of the conversation.

What's your left foot doing?

Yup, good advice there. My truck would light up both tires in the dirt like that when it had the open rear - doesn't mean a thing.
