 Subject: No dash lights or tail lights... Fuse?

On the way back from a trip I heard a pop and suddenly my dash lights that come on when I turn my lights on and my tail lights no longer functioned. I pulled over and tried to find the fuse that would control them and i didn't find the culprit. I imagine its a fuse, but it could be something else also. Does anyone know which fuse it is or if it could be anything else? Thanks.
