Message: I have a 95 dakota
I am having a problem with my headlights not turning on, everything else works from what i can see.
Tail lamps, side markers etc.
I tried replacing fuses
Checked bulbs look good
Just replaced the switch and nothing still:(
Kinda weird i just got done detailing the truck and now my head lights dont work. Extracted the carpets but i dont see how that could be anything.
Wondering if anyone has any advise as to whats going on, Thanks Jeff

Message: Did you replace the headlight switch, or the dimmer switch ?
What is the location of the dimmer swich on a '95 ?
On the floor, by any chance ?
Not familiar with the earlier Daks, just some thoughts from working on earlier vehicles in general...

Message: i've got a similar problem w/ my '92... headlights don't come on, possibly dash lights as well (can't tell b/c it was light outside).
what i did: i was taking out old alarm wiring and resoldering the cut wires as i went. when i got done, i hooked everything back up and the switch will turn on the side markers, but the headlights won't come on. i can make the brights flash using the dimmer switch (on the turn signal) but they don't stay on, like there's a problem with the switch. i can't see any burned fuses, and the switch was working fine until i resoldered the wires (disconnected the switch first...)
any ideas? (other than the switch, i've ordered one and just waiting for it to show up)
