Best way I found to increase the gas mileage on
my 02, 4.7, 4X4 is to park it! I have not ran a
full tank of gas through it in well over four
months now... Been using my 79 AMC and a 99 Honda
scotter.
I only use the Dakota when I *must* plus it's up
for sale priced WAY under Kelly Blue Book
"Private Sale" and STILL no takers.

cnegley, a fresh tuneup, proper tire inflation and alignment are the easiest ways to insure better mpg. the other most important is driving habits. there are other ways to conserve also but, i have found these the most effective. my '00 QC 4x2 3.9 5spd gets 18city/ 24hwy. my wife's'00 Mazda Protege' 1.8 auto gets 23 city/ 38hwy.

106.9 WCCC in Connecticut claims to be non corporate, but they play the exact same small selections of the same songs by the same small handful of the same bands everyday.
If they aren't corporate, they are just as retarded as the ones running the evil corporate monopolies.

It took the lib dems just two years to shoot fuel over $4. They scream about importing oil, then won,t let us drill here. Then that chicago crock says that he won,t have had it go up so fast. Not that its too high-it went up too fast! In the late 80s, the dems called for raising the fuel tax to bring the price up to $4 a gal. They got it...So-Instead of going after ALL FORMS of energy, they just want to go after wind and solar.They should get alot from their hot air and shine from their polished butts that they are setting on. And now that we have cut back on driving-and the feds are collecting less tax, the dems want to raise the fuel tax by 10 cents a gal. Washington never does with less- just you and me...Maybe when the big one happens-washington will go with it.

I totally agree! It's almost like the Arabs have taken over our government or something. A few years ago they wanted to control our ports , All the nation's money is being siphoned to the middle east, and the US army is being used to fight their wars and take over oil. All the government is doing is things to hurt our country economicly, the Social Security Administration is filled with errors and false documents from identity theft and won't fix their errors so citizens get deprived of their rights because their SSNs are messed up so the government can keep people's tax refunds and people never get the so-called economic stimulus checks. It's all a fisad. Americans want not to be involved in the problems in the middle east much less have to work hard to have their taxes benefit the middle east while the United States falls into crime and anarchy because the government claims to not have the money for law enforcement.
The corporations are out of control, buying everything so they can hold the monopoly on vital resources like oil and food, then jack up the prices because there is no competition because they own it all.
It is wiping out the United States, destroying it economicly so it will be helpless.
It was said a long time ago that the best way to take over a country is not with guns, but by destroying it's economy.
