Subject: '91 Dak stalls when turning? IP: Logged
Message: I have a '91 dakota that I bought a few months ago. I haven't been able to drive it much since I've been out of the country, but since I've been back I've noticed that the engine will stall on me if I try to give it too much gas when the wheel is turned. A friend suggested it might be the MAP sensor or the PCV valve. I replaced both and it seemed to help a little but it still does it. Any ideas?

Message: The power steering pump, huh? I'm a bit at a loss, could you explain how that would cause the problem with the engine wanting to quit? The reason I replaced the two things I did is because my friend said it sounded like a fuel/air mixture problem and that made sense from the way it acted. Any more help would be appreciated.
