Subject: cooling question IP: Logged
Message: hey my fan clutch went bad and im thinking of putting in a electric fan and i was wondering how you guys wire it up.
what i mean is do you guys use a toggle switch? (dont want to do that)or do you hook it up to the ign. switch? so its running all the time?
also what way is recomended? opinions?
i got a 99 318 4x4

Message: When you buy your electric fan brianj, ask for the
wiring kit. You DON'T want a toggle switch only!
Sooner or later you'll forget to switch it on.
The kit should include a water sensor switch and
a relay. It's all wired in a way (directions
included) to have the fan come on with water temp
AND when ever your air cond system is in use.

Message: Use a large Black Magic fan. It has all the wiring and circuitry built in. Three wires and you're done.
