Subject: Rear Vibration IP: Logged
Message: Rear end is vibrating on acceleration, tires are balance and even rotated them but they can't seem to find anything wrong.

Message: Check the drive shaft, watersdodge. Does the
vibration continue after you reach the speed you
want to drive at? If so then the drive shaft is
not the problem..

a bad "U" joint.

Message: My Dakota had a bad U-Joint on the rear end of the drive shaft. The factory part was defective. It wasn't properly greased and wore out. The wobbling U-joint made the seal on the rear differential leak and squeal which is how I found out about the problem. I never felt a vibration as you describe.
