Subject: Front Hub Bearing Help IP: Logged
Message: I am trying to swap out the front hub bearing on my 2000 V6 4WD non-ABS. I can't get it to pop off the steering knuckle. The shaft moves freely in the hub. Can I put a hub puller on the shaft or is that bad for the CV joint? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Message: Ya i had the same problem when i changed out my front wheel bearing/hub. Take out the 3 bolts holding the hub to the spindle, remove the cv half shaft and then get a thin chisel
hammer it between the spindle and the hub. Do that in a few places around the hub and it will start to come away from the spindle and then get a bigger chisel or screw driver and do the same. Once u get it moving it will go alot smoother for u
