 Subject: Leaf spring mount

The right rear leaf spring mount broke and now the leaf spring is supported by the bottom of the bed. How big a job is it to fix this and where do I find a new one? Is a junkyard the best bet? It's a '99 short bed 4x4 Dakota in upstate NY with all of our lovely salt.

I had to get one for a 97 from the dealer. Took an hour or two to install.

that must of took alot of salt to rust away a mount. the underbody of your truck must be shot too.

Thanks for the help. The frame and bottom of the bed and cab look pretty good, but the body, bumpers, etc. have really taken a beating from the weather. I've had it since new so it doesn't owe me anything.
