clean the inside of your throttle body and Idle Air Bypass valve.
If you use a K&N style air filter - Stop.
Go back to paper element filter. It filters better.

Often called the idle air control, it's in the throttle body. You'll need to remove the TB to do this. Don't stress the IAC plunger when you clean it. I wouldn't worry too much about the K&N filter, as long as you don't over oil it. They filter better when dirty, until it gets too clogged. I wouldn't clean the filter more than neccessary.
