Once again I am asking for help on my Dak. I have a 99 3.9 and am having a water leak issue. I was driving home from work and started to smell radiator water, at first I thought it was the car in front of me but when I got home I noticed it was leaking. I let it cool down and looked under it but could not find the leak. After I started it back up I crawled back under it with no leak, untill it got warm then it started leaking. I could not see where its coming from, looks like the block. The water drips onto the sepintine belt and sprays everywhere. Is the waterpump down that low? I checked all the hose's and found no leak. So i went to the store and bought some stopleak and let it warm up and the leak stopped. Will that stuff damage anything? I would like to fix the leak permenant. Any help would be awesome.

Well since its a 99 and its getting on the belt. I would assume the water pump is worn out. They are designed to allow water to pass through the main bearing when the pump is worn out aka the inner seal is shot. If u look on the front of the water pump by the main shaft there will be a little hole drilled into it. If the water is coming from there its time for a new pump

Thanks, I did put the stop leak in and the leak stopped but I know is not a permanant fix. What you suggested is exactly the area its coming from. Once again thanks.
