Message: yes, lifting the body more than 2" will require you to extend things. Steering shaft for sure, brake and tranny lines might be necessary (I had to extend my tranny line with my 3" BL though I did have enough slack in the brake lines to the master cylinder) and possibly fuel filler (I also had to do as the original one was a hair too short).
BTW, how are you managing a 4" BL since the only commercial body lift kits available specifically for your truck are only 2". If your doing a universal kit, you'll get 3". Haven't seen a 4" body lift.

Message: Be sure never to show up for inspection with that truck, since it would probably be grounded on the spot. It would maybe be viser to cut body fastener off the frame and lift them for 100 mm and weld them in place again. That way it might pass inspection and not become a death trap.

Message: No, I do not have a problem with canadians (or anybody else, for that matter) in general. The only way to "do it right" is to do it with parts that were purpose-built to handle the stress of the application. Hockey pucks will break apart and crumble after not-too long of a time. Then when you possibly lose control, you will either A)injure yourself, B)injure your passenger(s), C)injure other people on the road, or D) all of the above. I'm trying to warn you that it isn't safe to do it that way so that you do not injure yourself and others. Why would you get defensive about that?
