I HAVE 2001 DAKOTA, THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS HAVW ALWAYS WORKED NO MATTER WHAT WORK WAS DONE UNDER HOOD. I RECENTLY HAD A NEW W MOTOR REGULATOR INSTALLED, NOW MY AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS DO NOT WORK. MY PANEL IS LOOSE WHERE THE REGULATOR WAS INSTALLED COULD IT BE BECAUSE THE PANEL IS LOOSE OR DO I NEED A NEW PART. I HAVE HAD THIS TRUCK IN SAME SHOP 6 TIMES IN LAST 8 WEEKS TO REPAIR SOME THINGS I FEEL SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHECKED. IN 8 WEEKS I HAVE SPENT ALMOST 1500.00 NOW AFRAID THEY ARE GOING TO SAY I NEED A PART THAT I MAY NOT NEED, I GUESS MY ? IS COULD IT BE LOOSE PANEL???

2002 dodge Dakota will lock at its pleasure. Had ctm gone thru at electronics shop. It is ok, Reinstalled and having same problem. Remote will lock unlock it. sometimes the manual lock/unlock buttons work sometimes they don't. Any help would be appreciated

but not drivers side. I replaced the main switch on the drivers door
but it did not help. Does anyone have any idea whats wrong?

I have a 1989 Dodge Dakota Sport convertible
that I'm having a problem with the passenger
door. If the door gets locked it will not
unlock. It can't be unlocked with the electric
locks, nor the manual locks, not even with the
key. The only way to get the door unlocked is
to remove the inside door panel and trip the
lock by hand. I've disabled the electric locks
& removed the manual lock button in an effort
to prevent locking accidently. I replaced the
original lock with a salvage lock that worked
before removal from the other vehicle, but
didn't change the situation with my truck. This
is only a small part of the struggle I've
endured with this door lock. Any suggestions?

I have a 1991 Dakota PU. How do I remove the
exterior drivers door handle so I can replace a
broken rod clip. There are no screws that I can
find just a heavy wire clip holding it in place.
suggestions?
