Ok so I tore my truck apart trying to see why it died all of a sudden. I checked plugs, wires, cap, ignition coil, and injectors. All those tested to be fine according to the haines manual specs. I took off my timing chain cover to see if my chain broke or what not. My truck will turn over, but just wont start. My timing didn't seem to be off far enough to cause it not to start. I also found a grounding strap that the dealership decided not to reconnect and I'm not sure where it goes. It goes from the firewall to somewhere else. I hope the pic helps so maybe someone can look to see where it goes.

Adam, you gotta tell us a few more things about
your problem and you're going to have to do more
testing.

1) While cranking the engine over, do you have
spark to your plugs?

2) Are you sure you're getting fuel? Fuel pump
may be bad.

Let us know...

Fuel pumps good I can hear it kick on when I put the key to start. Plus when I tested my injectors I releived the pressure in the fuel rail and fuel came out both times. I've tested my coil, wires and cap and all are good. I have power getting to my coil, plus I just bought a brand new one.

What are you geting for codes ? With an '00, you can check this yourself - key on off on off on will set codes in odometer, ending in pdone. Not familiar with 3.9 grounding; but the engine of most vehicles is grounded to the firewall. Just one possibility. Wondering why you think the dealer didn't reconnect that. Did the dealer replace the motor ?
