Message: I just replaced my bed on my '97 Dakota with a "New Take-Off" bed that had a small inspection sticker underneath dated 02/2001. I noticed that while a friend and I were removing the old bed, it was heavy as heck. Then, when we picked up the new bed to put it on the truck, it was at least 75 pounds lighter.
Is DC using thinner sheetmetal for thier trucks now? No wonder the insurance crash testers rate these trucks so low.
