$5.00 a gallon? If that ever comes, the dak will definitely become a driveway ornament. I've been hearing things about american companies drilling for oil in the gulf of mexico. Not 500 feet down like usual, but 5000 feet down. This is made possible from newer technology that was recently available. All this is supposed to make our country fuel independent for the next 10 years or more.

Thats about what it is in Connecticut, though there are stations as high as $3.40.
What they are doing is waiting until people 'get used to' the prices, then creep them up more.
They are trying to ease them up slowly to prevent a rebelion. It doesn't matter because when people can't afford it anymore, they can't afford it anymore, and the entire infrastructure of the United States will collapse.
Kinda makes ya wonder if Osama Bin Ladin is running our government the way they mysteriously can't find him although he is still in communication and the news said Bin Ladin was cutting down the Pope recently, Arabs wanted to buy U.S. ports a couple of years ago, there is talk of a new president whose campaign slogan is major 'change', like perhaps converting USA to Muslim religion and government, and the strange sabotaging of the United States system with fuel prices destroying the economy (over half the price of gas is government taxes so if the gas really was more expensive the government would be easing up on the taxes to ease the economy which it is not; governor Rell slapped on more state tax on it recently), and the allowing of crime and anarchy to run rampid with organized attacks on U.S. communities all over the Northeast using motor vehicles on the public roads because airplanes are hard to get to now and though there is rediculous security at airports there is absolutely no law enforcement on the highways.
Seems fishy. Now more than ever we the people have to look closely between the lines because something horrible is going down!

That does sound plausible.
Why else would USA be so concerned with conquering Iraq, and funneling the US economy to there. Bin Ladin could have taken over the US government to use our army to fufill his desires of conquest.

Where did I answer my own post? I did not.
Whoever dot '.' is they have indicated they are also from Connecticut as I am, and I can relate to the things they are talking about.
The motor vehicle crime is really the talk of people in Connecticut and New York, it is so out of control and people are really organizing groups to take the law into their own hands around here, the lack of law enforcement is so pronounced.

The fact of the matter is, this economy just can't handle 100+ dollar a barrel oil. If it keeps going this away you can expect a lot of truckers to go on strike include other comapanys of transportation.
