They are wrong because those on E85 use very little gas. Only 15% of what they do burn is actually gasoline, the rest is ethonal. They are comparing apples and oranges.

Who's the little fag you have tailing you?

the only problem is that ethanol has less energy per gallon, so you have to burn more to get the same work done than gasoline.

and as the media say: it's better for the environent / less pollution but....
more energy is used in the making of ethanol than in gasoline, an issue enviro-nerds never mention when they promtote this fuel.

Not only that, but it takes about a gallon of diesel to make 1.3 gallons of ethanol here. That needs to be taken into account.

E85 has a higher octane than pump gas, 105+ which allows higher boost, higher compression and more advanced ignition timing. Corvette racing will soon be running E85. Saab's latest introduction will yield 180 hp on E85, 20% more power than on regular gas.

The high cost of producing E85 is mostly internet nonsense. You can produce your own ethonal in your backyard. Try doing that with gasoline. Cost is more a matter of supply and demand. As demand increases, cost decreases and so does the price at the pump.

it's almost always about supply and demand. Diesel costs less to produce yet it costs much more than regular unleaded. Why? supply and demand...

You are an IDIOT. End of story.

E85 makes more smog the gasoline. It takes more energy to produce a gal. of ethenol than you get back. E85 is inflationary! The price of corn has shot through the roof. This means the price of all meat is going up as the price of feed rises. This means the price of all packaged foods are going up as they all contain corn products.Thank the goverment for shooting up inflation while telling you they saved you. The goverment screws up everything it touches and they do so with your taxes...

Don't forget that US citizens' pay scales are not keeping up with inflation, either. There will be an economic collapse when it reaches the point where typical US citizen income cannot meet basic survival living expenses.

Tax brackets are not adjusted for inflation either, so as the dollar continues to shrink as dictated by inflation, people's pay that stays the same becomes less money by staying the same amount of dollars that are now worth less,
but the government still taxes the income, which is now worth less money, as if it was alot of money as it was before the inflation,

so poor people are being taxed as if they were rich.

Bank accounts are not adjusted for shrinking dollar, therefore all your lifelong investments and savings are depreciating. When you put a large amount of money you worked really hard for in the bank 10 years ago, that same money is now worth only HALF now! Banks don't multiply your money by an adjusted dollar factor to compensate for the new lesser value of the dollar.

Americans are being robbed of their investments, wages, and are overtaxed by this greed scheme of inflating prices on everything but your money is not adjusted accordingly for the current lesser value dollar.
YOU GET LESS AND PAY MORE.

IT'S MATH!

That is why we see society in the United States falling apart, and nothing but greed from a tiny 1% of the population controlling 99% of the nation's wealth is behind it!

This has to be reformed or it will all come down!

This is not an eggaduration!

Making ethanol from corn is foolish, since it is not energy efficient. It makes a lot more sense to make it from sugar cane. But the government won't back that as it would mean doing business with countries like Cuba. There's a lot of politics behind the inefficiency.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way
