Subject: I Drove Through Road Paint! IP: Logged
Message: I was driving home in the early morning and I happened to drive across a white center line that was freshly painted (with about 45 coats judging by the length of my tire tracks I saw the next day). I was able to get the paint off my truck's finish (thank God for good wax) but was not able to get the paint spatters out of my wheel wells and off my black fender flares :( I tried scraping it with a credit card and paint thinner, and neither worked. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Message: Try Turtle Wax Bug 'n Tar Remover, that should do it.

Message: Well you can always paint them, there is this can that you but from autozone and it made just for wheel wells, i did mine just to look better, but there is 2 different cans. One has a smoothe finish and the other is like a rocky kinda ruberish finish, I got the rubery one, it looks good too.

Message: I did the same thing, but it was bright yellow paint. Relax, It comes off. It was all over my left wheel wells, with a few washes with power spray, it was all gone.

Message: try some Super Clean and let it soak, that might put a dent in it or i would go with the paint in a can idea.

Message: I just tried the Bug and Tar...didn't work :( What is super clean? Maybe I should give that a try. I'll try to pressure wash it off next time I get a chance too. Thank you all for your input!

Message: An SOS pad and elbow grease will work. Also, coat the fender wells with pam, no kidding, it works for mud, dirt, paint, tar, etc...
