 Subject: blower resistor

2001 dodge dakota (3.9L - 6 cyl). fan blowing only on high speed. what's the fix? replace the resistor (i assume the motor is ok...)? dealer part only (service agent told me to plan on $200)? advice to the un-wise?

pay 30 bucks for the part(if it even cost that much) and 20 bucks for a Haynes repair manual, do it yourself and save 150 bucks.

14.99 at my local dealer .... 10 min to install yourself ....... its on the passenger side under the dash .... just look under there and you will see the 5 pin connectoe
