Message: 1997 Dak 3.9v6 5 speed 4x4 RC
Im looking to improve both MPG and the shifting feel of the transmission. The trans is over due its oil change now. Plus with it being winter is doesnt like to shift when cold.
But what im wondering is what synthetic oil i should run Wieght? and do u have to add a friction modifer for the synco clutch packs?

Message: Epy,
I don't have the AX15. I do have the NV3500
Look into Pennzoil Synchronmesh Manual Transmission fluid. Same part # as the Chrysler OEM fluid. It's about $5-6 at Autozone.
It's got great reviews, etc. Google it.
I just put some in my tranny, and it's difinitely pretty nice.
