On the 1989 dodge dakota there is a T shaped plastic fitting on the top of the axel housing
on the gas tank side with 3 lines coming out of it one is a hose with a fitting and a green cap on it but the cap doesnt come off of it I saw it under my truck when I came home today I don't have a manual and I have no clue what this thing is or where it goes.

Is it the axle breather? That little cap should rotate on the hose, and the hose should hang up toward the frame.

Damns Cracker, chaze those lines down in both directions. You will see thats theyz goes to tha brakes. And the ohers one is the rearz axle vent line. For stability theyz all are bolted to tha axle housing together.
