thanks for clearing that uip for me. but it's actually the big corporations that got it in so they could move their factories where the cheapest labor source was.

True, NAFTA didn't actually force companies to Mexico. It was simply corporate greed that moved them to the cheap labor of Mexico.Ross Perot warned us that there would be a giant sucking sound of U.S. jobs going to Mexico if it passed.Companies were actually setting up in Mexico as far back as the Reagan years though not as much as now. It's nothing more than good old-fashioned union busting at its finest. I don't understand how the unions supported Clinton in '96 after what he had done to them.
